Ophelia Rue

Happy to see 2011 gone, gone, gone...terrible year for myself and most everyone I know. 2012 has already started off to be a very magikal start and shall continue the cards say. I'm working on a special design project that is going to be amazing....Cheers to that! I've been obsessed with Ophelia since I was a wee little one. Most of it has to do with being raised in a forest with lots of swamps, rocks, moss and alot of beautiful lush greens and browns. Very romantic and very tragic. My first beta all white fish was called Ophelia. Every morning I would wake up and say in a soft voice, Ooopheliaaa. She would swim to me everytime. When she passed I cried and everyone laughed at me..."she's just a fish." Not to me. If ever I have a daughter she will be Ophelia...perhaps I'm too superstitious but maybe I SHOULDN'T??? Rue; a herb but also a symbol of regret...Ophelia was said to have been carrying it when she drowned.

Chthonic

CHTHONIC: Dark, unknown and mysterious;relating to the underworld.

Needing a change of everything I find myself wanting the woods again and again and again....what is this constant calling?

Fossette

Fossette; A dimple in the cheek.

This makes me smile and imagine what my store will be like when that day comes...

It all started by this truck I found...I want to have this truck to deliver my flowers in! How cute would that be?!

My horoscope said that if I was thinking of a career change now is the time to take a step in that direction. It's not that I'm quitting making jewelry...I've just always wanted my own shop and the nature girl in me has always wanted to do floral arranging, have a greenhouse, and get dirty! My original name since High School for this shop was DIRT...Diana DeRosa and I had this whole idea of what it would be like and that "idea" has never left me. I went from DIRT to DUST because years ago some show came out called DIRT and ruined it for me.

I got asked to do my first wedding this September for one of my best friends so I'm getting very inspired lately! Very much looking forward to it.

Gypsy Land

Desiderium; An ardent longing, as for something lost.

I discovered this amazing book by an incredible french interior designer who brings old Gyspy caravans back to life with her husband ("Rêve de roulottes"
Jeanne Bayol - Jean Marie Marechal). They are so magical and dreamy!LOVE LOVE LOVE

"Neither house nor hut, gypsy caravans are untiring travellers. Proof that true liberty indeed exists, they travel towards the unknown, forever imbuing us with their sovereign supreme audacity."

I will have one of these in my backyard someday in the near future...

with a room like this...

and where it all started...
