Charientism

Constult
Constult; To act stupidly together.
I'm sure your all beginning to see a theme here with my picture selection. The photographer is brillant and has been a favorite of mine. I will be flipping through pages of Italian Vogue (at the newsstands because I can't afford the pricey magazine) and am ALWAYS drawn in to certain images. It never fails...everytime Ellen von Unwerth.
She was born in Germany in 1954. She specializes in erotic femininity. She worked herself as a fashion model for ten years before moving behind the camera, and now makes editorial, fashion, and advertising photographs.
Remember back in 90's those gorgeous famous GUESS? ads that had Claudia Schiffer modeling...
Don't remember that? She directed Salt-N-Pepa's "Ain't Nuthin' But a She Thang" in 1995 and Duran Duran's video in 1997 "Electric Barbarella."

Dinomania
Dinomania; an irresistible urge to dance.
This weekend a couple of dames and I went to this lounge that was suppose to be a twenties speakeasy type of atmosphere. When I first heard about it I was disappointed because I have always wanted to do my own speakeasy and like many things...someone beats me to the punch and poorly I will say! So I, being Madame Dust, pull out my fancy twenties rags and shoes and play dress up in my room deciding what to wear. I put finger waves in my hair put my favorite vamp lipstick on and head out the door to this Hollywood lounge. To my dismay, the moment we entered the door after telling our "secret" password which wasn't so secret like back in the day, I was let down. Another wannabee lounge that doesn't do it right. First of all, if you are calling yourself a speakeasy maybe you should actually play 20's music instead of Jay Z. I mean, no disrespect for Jay Z because I rock Jay Z sometimes and love him. My point is that none of the music was inspired by the 20's whatsoeva! And then there was the lack of garb...no one besides my dames and I had even really made an attempt to play the part. I really could go on for hours about my disappointment...instead I will take the high road and know that when I do it...it will be AUTHENTIC. I had an amazing time with my dolls and that is what is most important in the long run.
“Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And then one fine morning—So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

Psithurism
Psithurism; the sound of wind in trees or rustling leaves.
Thanks to my new partner in crime I have this amazing new application on my phone that I am slightly obsessed with. It comes up with the most unique words! In the past few days I have been making pieces with antique lace and beads. I have become quite fond of them and will have a hard time parting with them. I will not be posting any pictures of them just yet as they won't be for sale until my next event in April. I will keep you posted closer to the date as to when and where this event will be. Until then here is some new inspiration I have found from the amazing Vogue Italia...

RIP Alexander McQueen
Really tragic that my first post is a mini dedication to one of my favorite, most inspiring designers...Alexander McQueen. His Brilliance will be missed!
When these came down the runway...no words for these beauties...
